The Lavoisier Institute of Versailles brings together all the chemists of UVSQ (more than 50 permanent staff, around 1/3 of whom are CNRS staff). This UMR is characterized by its multidisciplinarity, exploring very diverse themes, which range from the chemistry of molecular or porous materials, to synthetic organic chemistry, via interfacial electrochemistry. Three keywords characterize the laboratory : Synthesis (organic, porous materials, molecular inorganic materials…), Properties (biological, catalytic, electronic…) and Analysis.

Experimental means / theoretical tools :
Concerning analysis, ILV has developed a particular know-how in specific analysis fields, such as crystallography, surface analysis, and solid-state NMR, in close collaboration with the synthesis or electrochemistry. The UMR is structured into three research groups, EPI (electrochemistry and physico chemistry at interfaces), SORG (organic synthesis) and MIM (Molecules Interactions Materials) , associated with a common technical platform bringing together analysis techniques such as NMR, diffractometry, and high resolution mass and the surface analysis center (CEFS2 attached to the EPI research group) consists of 3 XPS, 1 nano-auger, 1 SEM-EDS-EBSD and hosts 1 XPS spectrometer and 1 glow-discharge optical emission spectrometer belonging to IPVF.
